Licence and Terms
Effective 25 October 2026
Clean Keyboard is free to use on your own Macs, at home or at work. It’s provided as is. Save your work before you start cleaning, and follow Apple’s advice for cleaning your Mac.
Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Auralis L.L.C-FZ, Meydan Free Zone, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“Auralis”, “we”). By downloading or using Clean Keyboard, or using this website, you agree to them.
Your licence
We give you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Clean Keyboard on any Mac you own or control, for personal or business use.
You may not sell, rent or sublicense the app, distribute modified copies, or remove its notices. You may not reverse engineer it except where the law allows you to regardless of this licence. To share Clean Keyboard, point people to this website.
Clean Keyboard, its name, icon and illustrations belong to Auralis. This licence doesn’t give you any rights to them beyond using the app.
What the app does, and what you should do
While cleaning, Clean Keyboard deliberately blocks your keyboard and trackpad. It ends when you say “Done cleaning”, when the timer runs out (never longer than ten minutes), when the Mac sleeps, or if the app stops running.
- Save your work before you start. Other apps keep running while input is paused.
- Don’t start cleaning while something needs your input, such as a call, a presentation or a timed task.
- Clean your Mac the way Apple recommends. The cleaning guide summarises Apple’s published advice, but Apple’s own instructions for your model come first. Never spray liquid onto the Mac, and shut it down and unplug it where the guide says so.
We’re not responsible for damage caused by liquids, cleaning products or tools, or by cleaning in a way Apple doesn’t recommend.
No warranty
Clean Keyboard and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the app will work on every Mac, block every input, or be free of errors. Some inputs, like the power button, are never blocked by design.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Auralis is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, work, profits or time, arising from your use of Clean Keyboard or this website. Our total liability for any claim is limited to USD 50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.
Third parties
Links in the cleaning guide and on this website go to sites we don’t control. Your use of them is governed by their own terms. Mac and MacBook are trademarks of Apple Inc. Clean Keyboard is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Inc.
Ending the licence
You can stop using Clean Keyboard at any time by deleting it. If you break these terms, your licence ends and you must delete the app. The sections on ownership, no warranty and limitation of liability continue to apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Dubai have jurisdiction, unless the consumer laws of the country where you live give you the right to bring a claim there.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the new version applies from the date shown above. Questions go to support@auralis.live.
