Who we are

Clean Keyboard and this website are provided by Auralis L.L.C-FZ, Meydan Free Zone, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“Auralis”, “we”). Questions about privacy go to support@auralis.live.

The app

Keyboard and trackpad

With your Accessibility permission, Clean Keyboard pauses keyboard and trackpad input while you clean. It notes which key or trackpad area was touched, and for how long, so it can light up the cleaning map and draw the dirt map. It never records what you type as text. These counts stay in memory and are gone when the summary closes.

Voice

Finishing by voice is optional. When it’s on, the microphone runs only while cleaning. Speech is recognised by Apple’s speech recognition with on-device processing required, and on macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence an on-device Apple model may help understand looser phrasing. No audio and no transcripts are saved or sent anywhere, to us or anyone else. If on-device recognition isn’t available, voice stays off.

macOS may download its speech recognition model from Apple. That download is handled by macOS under Apple’s privacy policy.

What stays on your Mac

Your settings (timer length, voice, bright screen, reminder interval, keyboard shape) and the date you last cleaned are stored in the app’s preferences on your Mac. Deleting the app and its preferences removes them.

Reminders

If you allow notifications, the reminder is a local notification scheduled on your Mac. Nothing is sent to a server.

Sharing

The summary’s Share button makes an image of your dirt map. It goes only where you choose to send it, and that service’s own privacy policy applies.

Links in the cleaning guide

Product links open store websites in your browser. Those stores have their own privacy policies. If a link becomes an affiliate link, the guide says so, and the store may use cookies to tell us a purchase came from Clean Keyboard. We never receive your name or what else you buy.

This website

The website sets no cookies and has no advertising, tracking pixels, or fonts and embeds from other companies. The interactive keyboard runs only in your browser; the keys you press on it are never sent anywhere.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare receives technical data needed to deliver pages, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, and may keep it briefly in logs for security and to keep the site working. We don’t use this data to identify you or combine it with other data.

Visit counts

To learn how many people visit and which pages they read, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. When a page loads, a small script from Cloudflare reports the page address, the referring site, your browser and device type, your country and how fast the page loaded. It uses no cookies or local storage, doesn’t fingerprint your browser and doesn’t follow you across sites. We see only totals, never individual visitors. Cloudflare’s handling is described in its privacy policy. Content blockers that stop the script simply leave you out of the counts.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and keep them as long as needed to help you.

Legal bases and your rights

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or the UAE’s Personal Data Protection Law apply, we process hosting logs and visit counts on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website and understanding how it’s used, and emails to answer your request.

You can ask us for access to, correction of or deletion of personal data we hold about you, or object to its use, by writing to support@auralis.live. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update it on this page and change the date above. If the app ever starts collecting data, we’ll say so here before it does.
